Skull Kid from Majora’s Mask

Well, I didn’t score the Collector’s Edition of Majora’s Mask for the 3DS. I was disappointed, then I remembered that I already have this kick ass Skull Kid made by First 4 Figures. It’s bigger and better made than the one bundled with the game, so I guess I’ll get over it for now.

Get Ready for an Amiibo Party!

Mario Party 10 came out today along with several Amiibos!  I missed out on the Toad Amiibo and I am super sad!  I also missed out on the Gold Mario…and I don’t want to talk about that!  But I was able to get the other characters.  These two are my favorite out of the bunch.  Yoshi just looks cuter and I bet there will be a use for him in the upcoming Yoshi’s Wooly World.  I like this Luigi much better than the planking version.  All in all, the Mario Party Amiibos look more classic and ready for display.  Thank you Nintendo!

The Rare Rosalina Amiibo

I was pretty good about getting on the pre-order train with all my other Amiibos, but totally felt left out on Rosalina, a Target exclusive.  I didn’t want to do it, but I broke down and paid the $40 for her on eBay. I had to complete my collection! She is quite beautiful, so I will write this off as she must cost more due to her magnificent pearlescent dress and the fact that Luma just happens to be part of the figure too. It’s like getting two in one…right?!

Super Mario Bros. Old School Score Keeper

These Mario and Bowser figures are some of strangest in my collection. First, they look terrible! Second, it has a spot to write your highest score. Third, Mario is kicking a Koopa in the face!! No toy today would have an angry Mario assaulting a frenemy from the game! And that’s what makes these rare and awesome!

Animal Crossing’s Lovely Isabelle

I loved Animal Crossing New Leaf. I enjoyed being mayor and I adored my super sweet secretary Isabelle. Good Smile Company made a wonderful nendoroid figure of Isabelle (or Shizue) with interchangeable faces and items from ACNL.

Here she is singing in front of the cheesy Valentine’s Day card I made my husband.

EMP Museum Indie Game Revolution Launch Party

We got to attend the EMP’s Indie Game Revolution Launch Party and it was awesome!
Lots of great games on display and ready to be played! I kicked some ass on Samurai Gunn, which is a multiplayer fast pace brawler.  My husband and I set a new record for Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, which is a colorful frantic co-op space game, or see their description…
Neon co-op space bunny rescue…
Here is a shot of the boss in the space bunny game, Ursa Major:

And then there was this strange muscle cat posing game up on the big screen, I have no idea what is going on here…fashion meter???

Pokemon Terrariums

Terrariums are all the rage in home decorating right now. How about spicing it up a bit with Pokemon? First, go to your local toy store and grab all the Pokemon you can. Second, go to a home decorating or craft store to pick up your terrarium supplies. Now pick the right Pokemon that compliments the plants you’ve chosen. Bam! You’ve got yourself a unique terrarium that will put your guests in awe of your creativity…or perhaps your nerd status. Enjoy!
